PLEASANT HILL — A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with a “note pass” robbery at a credit union Friday, authorities said.

Around 11:40 a.m., Pleasant Hill Police responded to reports of a robbery at Pacific Service Credit Union, located at 1600 Contra Costa Blvd.

The suspect fled before officers arrived, but there were no reports that the suspect showed or mentioned any weapons, according to Pleasant Hill Police Sgt. Danny Johnson. No employees or customers sustained any injuries.

Jeffery Baker, a resident of Pittsburg, was arrested Friday evening and taken into custody at the Martinez Detention Facility, authorities said. The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office assisted the PHPD’s investigation into possible leads earlier that day.

It’s unclear where police located and executed a search warrant for Baker’s arrest. Police also did not immediately report what charges were filed against him Friday.

Police said evidence related to the robbery was collected, and the case will be presented to the Contra Costa County’s District Attorney’s Office.

Attempts to reach PHPD for additional information were not immediately returned Saturday.
