Interested in seeing the 49ers play the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday? You’re in luck, if you don’t mind spending an arm and a leg for tickets.

On Monday, the game was slated to be the most expensive conference championship game in league history with the average ticket price coming in at $2,431, according to Ticket IQ. Last year’s NFC Championship Game between the 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles was previously the most expensive conference championship game with an average ticket price of $1,822.

Ticket IQ said the average ticket price has dropped to $1,762 as of Wednesday afternoon, but could fluctuate throughout the week as demand increases closer to Sunday.

The winner of Sunday’s game will head to Las Vegas to play the winner of the AFC in Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11.

On ticket marketplaces such as StubHub and Ticketmaster, prices range from $437 to $500 per ticket located in the upper deck of the stadium or standing-room-only areas as of Wednesday. Both sites mandate a customer buy at least two tickets per transaction, driving the prices up closer to $1,000 for any buyer.

The second-most-expensive conference championship game ever could also be this Sunday as ticket prices for the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens have an average price of $2,199. On StubHub, the NFC Championship Game is outselling the AFC Championship Game by 125%.

“The Lions’ first trip to the NFC Championship in over three decades is fueling demand for their matchup against the 49ers, driving 85% more sales on StubHub than last year’s championship game between the 49ers and Eagles,” said Adam Budelli, spokesperson for StubHub in a statement. “The matchup has already surpassed final sales for the Lions’ game against the Bucs, which was the best-selling matchup of the weekend on StubHub.”

Lions fans have traveled well this season and that trend will likely continue on Sunday. Vivid Seats has forecasted Levi’s Stadium to have a 78/22 split in favor of 49er fans.

The last time the Lions were in the NFC Championship Game was in 1992. Detroit will be trying to win its first Super Bowl in franchise history.

The 49ers open Sunday’s game against the Lions as seven-point favorites.
