The NFL is in talks with the Towson graduate who designed Taylor Swift’s Kansas City Chiefs jacket, Kristin Juszczyk.

“We have known about Kristin and her work for some time now before Taylor Swift wore her jacket and have had an ongoing dialogue with her,” said Liana Bailey, NFL spokesperson, in an email. “We’re continuing to explore opportunities to work together.”

Juszczyk’s handmade, bright-red puffer jacket featuring the number of Swift’s boyfriend, No. 87 Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, landed on social media during the NFL wild-card playoff game between the Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins.

In a TikTok video, Juszczyk said that her jackets, including one worn by Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, were made from NFL jerseys. She said her goal was comfort in the extreme cold at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.

Juszczyk, the 29-year-old wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, is a 2016 Towson grad who majored in business and marketing.

She met her husband in Maryland when he played for the Baltimore Ravens, and she transferred to Towson from the University of Rhode Island, where she focused on fashion.

Juszczyk said on her website that she taught herself how to create her designs with the help of YouTube after rediscovering her love for sewing when making Halloween costumes.

“After finishing that project, I got a feeling like I’ve never felt before, a feeling like this is what I should have been doing my whole life,” Juszczyk wrote on her website. “I then began reworking my game day outfits for Kyle’s games. I started reworking old t-shirts, jerseys, and even footballs into fresh designs.”

Other NFL players and their wives have now sported Juszczyk’s designs, including puffer vests on 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel and a Green Bay-themed vest worn by Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, whose husband, Jonathan Owens, plays for the Packers.
