Santa Clara County: Active search for suspect who is ‘armed and considered dangerous’

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a 64-year-old male suspect in an attempted murder case near the 6000 block of Mt. Madonna Road in Gilroy

The suspect has fled the scene and is “armed and considered dangerous,” according to a news release posted around 6 p.m. Saturday on the law agency’s Facebook page.

“If you live in the area, shelter in place,” the news release reads. “If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please call 9-1-1 immediately.”

No other information was immediately available.
