McDonald’s adds bagel sandwiches to its menu

Sandwiches made with toasted bagels have been added to the the menu at McDonald’s restaurants.

They join the fast food giants breakfast lineup alongside McMuffins, pancake-like McGriddles and biscuits.

Among them is the Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel, featuring a different kind of protein than the other breakfast sandwiches. It’s a thick patty ground differently than McDonald’s burgers and topped with grilled onions. Its suggested price is $6.39, although prices may vary by location.

Other sandwiches are Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel, $5.29; and Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bagel, $5.29.

A plain bagel toasted in butter goes for $2.29.

The bagel sandwiches were available at many locations last week but expanded to all Southern California locations on Monday, Feb. 5. They will remain on the menu “for the foreseeable future,” according to the company.
