INDIANAPOLIS — The Warriors pummeled the Indiana Pacers 131-109 on Thursday night on the tail of a back-to-back to complete a 4-1 road trip, one of their strongest road trips since their hot start at the beginning of the year. Golden State won both games comfortably in this back-to-back in Philadelphia and Indiana.

Steph Curry came out firing, hitting all six of his three point attempts in the first quarter. By the half he’d finished with eight 3s and looked primed to challenge teammate Klay Thompson’s record of 14 3-pointers in a game. He splashed a quick pair of 3s late in the fourth quarter to get his count up to 11 and finished with 42 point in 30 minutes. He shot 15-for-22 from the field and 11-for-16 from 3.

Curry could feast on a Pacers defense that ranks among the league’s worst and has only improved slightly since adding defensive-minded wing Pascal Siakam in a trade weeks ago. Curry took charge on the scoring end with Klay Thompson, who turned 34 on Thursday, out with an illness. Brandin Podziemski started in his place, finishing a team-high plus-23.

The youngins’ made up for any back-to-back fatigue with spry legs. Gui Santos continued his breakout road trip with a 13-point game, shooting 5-for-8 while nailing both of his 3-attempts. Jonathan Kuminga had 18 points shooting 9-of-16 from the field.

Fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse started chanting “TJD” for Indiana University star Trayce Jackson-Davis, who was a did-not-play until coach Steve Kerr called his number with the Warriors up 20 late in the fourth quarter. He entered to a loud cheer and got an ovation for slamming an alley-oop.

The Warriors head home for a game against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday before heading back on the road against the Utah Jazz. They play the Los Angeles Clippers at home and then head back out to Utah to make up the postponed game and, after, start their All-Star weekend.
