New stop sign

The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors approved a new stop sign to be added to the intersection of Lavender and Orange Blossom lanes in unincorporated Los Gatos.

According to a Feb. 8 press release, supervisors approved the signage after a stop sign warrant study, a traffic engineering analysis and on-site observations proved the need for a better flow of traffic in the area.

“This is a residential neighborhood where kids ride their bikes and folks are walking their pets,” County Supervisor Joe Simitian said in the release. “Keeping our streets safe for our residents is a basic responsibility for the county.”

Residents interested in requesting additional road signage can do so with on the county’s roads and airports department’s website at https://countyroads.sccgov.org/services/service-requests.

Neue Klasse und Kaffee

Stop by Loma Coffee Bar on Feb. 17 between 8 and 11 a.m. to join a monthly meetup for vintage car owners and enthusiasts. The coffee bar is located inside Loma Brewing Company at 130 N. Santa Cruz Ave.

Organized by BMW 2002 FAQ, a group for vintage car enthusiasts, the event typically sees a variety of BMW Neue Klasse vehicles, a line of BMWs that were manufactured in the 1960s. But attendees are welcome to bring cars from other manufacturers. The organization will also provide coffee and doughnuts if Loma Coffee Bar is closed.
