Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Jasleen Dhaliwal, Milpitas basketball

Milpitas basketball player Jasleen Dhaliwal is the Bay Area News Group’s girls athlete of the week for Feb. 5-10.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dhaliwal had 37.39% to finish ahead of Amador Valley soccer player Maylen Montoya, who was second at 21.53%.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Dhaliwal, a senior, scored 11 points and six rebounds in a victory over Wilcox. She ended the week averaging 11 points and seven rebounds for the season.
