DURHAM — Butte County will be removing 11 diseased and dying trees as part of a pruning project along the Midway between Chico and Durham starting Monday.
A press release issued Wednesday by the county said drivers can expect to see crews working between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The project will last until June 20.

“To ensure the safety of both motorists and workers, traffic control measures will be implemented throughout the duration of the project,” the release said. “Motorists are advised to exercise caution, follow posted signage, and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.”
The project will consist of pruning trees as well as removing limbs that are damaged or dead along with removing the aforementioned dead and dying trees.
