CHICO — Police are in a stand off with what they believe is an armed man with a felony warrant on the 1800 block of Arbutus Avenue in Chico.
Officers with the Chico Police Department and what appears to be the SWAT team have blocked off East Lindo Avenue from Mangrove to Sunset Avenue.
An officer on a loudspeaker has been calling for someone named Robert Logan to come out of a home on Arbutus Avenue since around 3:20 p.m.
What may have been a gunshot and screaming were reported around 2:10 p.m. on the police radio, but this newspaper has not confirmed the accuracy of that report.
Officers have guns drawn, and Sgt. Dave Bailey said police think there is a person with a weapon inside the home.
A drone was seen flying overhead and an armored truck is at the scene.
