Chico police ask help finding at-risk man

CHICO — The Chico Police Department has asked for community assistance in locating a man said to be missing and at-risk.

Mendoza

A media release Wednesday said Matthew Mendoza, 35, was last seen by his family around 8:30 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Notre Dame Boulevard. He is believed to be traveling to Sacramento.

Mendoza was wearing blue basketball shorts, a black shirt, an army green jacket, grey sneakers and a blue hiking backpack; he has a clover tattoo on his right calf and star tattoo on his left bicep, the release said.

Police ask anyone with information about Mendoza to contact the department at 530-897-4911 with case number 24-002754.
