PARADISE — It seemed that each time she cast her line, Adriana Gaeta quickly snagged a fish — even if that fish was quick to book it with the bait.

The San Diego resident was visiting her boyfriend Lex Knight from Magalia who took her to Paradise Lake for the first time on Tuesday for a fishing trip.

Gaeta wasn’t the only one taking in a new experience that day. Just a few meters away, David Norton and Kaitlin Johnson had set up a fishing base of operations complete with a hammock for lounging in the shade. Norton was taking Johnson out for her first time fishing ever.

Even further down the lake shore, Same Ryther was teaching his young daughter Makenna Vidrine how to fish. She even got her very own pole.

Day parking at Paradise Lake comes out to $3 per car, though drivers can purchase annual passes for $30 per vehicle at paradiseprpd.activityreg.com or by going in person to 6626 Skyway in Paradise.
