Earthquake strikes by Rancho Tehama

RED BLUFF— Rancho Tehama Tuesday night was near the epicenter of a small earthquake.

The United States Geological Survey reports the earthquake’s magnitude was 3.1. The incident occurred around 7:07 p.m.

Only three people reported feeling the quake: one in Corning, one in Redding, and one in Antioch.

There were no reports of damage or injuries related to this incident.

Last September, a 5.0-magnitude earthquake occurred near Fall River Mills. USGS said people reported feeling the quake from Red Bluff to Redding and as far south as Chico.

According to the USGS, in 2019, an earthquake of around 3.1 magnitude 3.1 was recorded 17 miles east of Red Bluff and near Manton.
