At 2:50 p.m. Friday, a suspicious package was reported by a community member, according to the post. Santa Clara Police Department requested assistance from Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the package “out of an abundance of caution.”

El Camino Real is closed between Calabazas Boulevard and Kiely Boulevard due to the police activity. Police are urging people to avoid the area. They do not yet know when the road will reopen.
