California’s ban on ‘forced outing’ in schools: What the new law says

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on July 15 approved a bill that prohibits school districts from requiring disclosure of “any information related to a pupil’s sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.”

Such disclosure includes notification of parents if their child starts using different pronouns or identifying as a different gender.
