Historic Movie Walking Tour

There’s more Hollywood fun to be had on Saturday when Ballard leads a walking tour of the various locations films including “The Klansman” and “The Siege at Ruby Ridge” were shot in Oroville. Among other highlights, the tour will also include stops at what was once Oroville’s own movie studio, United States Film Company, and the salon where Olivia de Havilland had her hair done during the filming of the 1938 action film “The Adventures of Robin Hood.”

“The walking tours are a great opportunity to learn about town’s history and culture,” said Ballard. “It’s also a way to get updated on current events and projects underway downtown. There’s always something new to go along with the old.”

The historic walking tours start in front of the Oroville Convention Center, 1200 Myers, at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and are free.
