PITTSBURG — Three people suspected of having a role in a Fourth of July fatal shooting that killed a man were arrested early Thursday, bringing to five the number of people arrested for the shooting, police said.
Pittsburg police officers, supported by detectives from the FBI and a SWAT team, arrested 26-year-old Israel Dezama, 21-year-old Maxamillion Holiday, and 21-year-old Abraham Gomez about 5 a.m., according to a statement from Pittsburg police.

Police did not say what specific crimes the three were suspected to have committed but did say that all three were arrested in connection to the slaying of Markel Benson-Braggs.
Officers found Benson-Braggs with at least one gunshot wound at the intersection of W. 10th Street and West Street on July 4. He died at the scene.
The homicide was the first investigated by Pittsburg police since November.
Police said they arrested 27-year-old Rohney Stewart and 21-year-old Jaylaun Stewart for their suspected roles in the shooting on July 12. Both were at a Rodeo residence when arrested, police said.
No other information was available immediately Thursday afternoon. Police said the case remains an active investigation.
