Police in Chico and Oroville, along with counterparts around the country, mingled with the public in sociable settings Tuesday for National Night Out. Chicoans held neighborhood parties where residents welcomed officers including Capt. Jeramie Struthers, shown sitting with Katy Thoma. Police Chief Billy Aldridge stopped by a central Chico gathering en route to another in north Chico. In Oroville, the community and police gathered at Rotary Park, where officers Tyler Maine, Lt. Ruben Quihuiz and Isabel Quintero grilled up hot dogs and OPD raffled off prizes.
