Two dead, two others wounded in Oakland shooting; gunman still at large

OAKLAND – Two people died and two others were wounded in an East Oakland shooting on Saturday morning, authorities said.

The shooting happened at about 8 a.m. in the 1600 block of 83rd Avenue, not far from International Boulevard.

Four people were wounded, two of them fatally. The victims were both male and female.

Authorities believe there was one shooter and as of 1 p.m. that person was not in custody.

The killings are the 58th and 59th homicides investigated by Oakland police this year.
