Recovering Honey Run | Photos

PARADISE — Dozens passed through, many stopping and taking photos and video, as a massive crane moved large pieces onto the new Honey Run Covered Bridge.

The large-scale construction began Tuesday morning as the 300-ton crane was lowered onto pieces of the new bridge’s skeleton and connected before hoisting the structures off the ground.

Workers in hard hats and neon vests walked around, preparing load after load.

The covered bridge was one of many landmarks lost in the Camp Fire. Since the fire, local groups have been working to raise money to rebuild the bridge.

Construction on the structure is expected to continue into Wednesday.
