League of Women Voters presents to host election events

CHICO — The League of Women Voters is hosting a variety of election related events coming up.

There will be a ballot measure pros and cons presentation in Paradise at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the meeting room at the Paradise library at 5922 Clark Road. This event is hosted by the Paradise American Association of University Women.

League member Carol Burr will talk about the coming election, voting, state propositions and League matters on “The Real Issue” on KZFR radio, FM 90.1 at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25.

There will be a candidate forum at from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 30 in Chico at the Chico Masonic Family Center located at 1110 West East Ave. The Chico City Council presents from 7-8 p.m. followed by the Chico Unified School District board from 8-9 p.m.

There will be a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the Paradise Town Hall located at 5555 Skyway in Paradise. The Paradise Town Council and the Paradise School Board will present.

There will be a voter registration table in Gridley from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at Dia Del Campesino located at the Nick Daddow Plaza in Gridley.

There will be a candidate forum in Oroville at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Southside Community Center at 2959 Lower Wyandotte Road. The Oroville City Council will present.

A state and federal candidates speed dating event is coming up. Details are not final yet.
