Blossom festival

The Saratoga Historical Foundation’s annual blossom festival is set for April 13, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The festival, which has origins all the way back to 1900, will include antique cars on display, live music and gourmet food trucks at the Heritage Orchard and Saratoga Civic Center. Traditionally, community members dress as Saratoga historical characters, for the event, which  will also feature a petting zoo and activities for all ages.

Arbor Day celebration

For residents looking to spend more time outdoors in Saratoga after the blossom festival, the Saratoga Arbor Day celebration will be taking place almost two weeks later.

On April 24 at 3 p.m. just outside the Saratoga Foothill Club at 20399 Park Place, residents can join the city council to celebrate Arbor Day. The event will feature refreshments and a ceremonial tree planting.

‘All Shook Up’

Residents can watch West Valley Light Opera’s “All Shook Up” on weekends through April 6 at the Saratoga Civic Theater. The musical comedy features classic Elvis songs such as “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Jailhouse Rock.”

“The story revolves around Chad, a hip-swiveling, guitar-playing roustabout, who helps the town discover the magic of romance and power of rock and roll,” WVLO’s website states.
