Set for the summer: Chico Unified installs 105 AC units

When Chico students return to class in August, they’ll be cool and ready to learn with 105 new heating ventilation and air conditioning units flown in by helicopter Tuesday and Wednesday to Chico Unified School District campuses. The new units, to be installed at Sierra View Elementary, Chico High, Bidwell Junior High, Chico Junior and Marsh Junior High schools, will be ready for the start of the 2024-2025 school year, according to a news release sent Tuesday by the district.
