The arrest happened after Pittsburg police spotted the vehicle and stopped it at an undisclosed location. Police stopped the car after Brentwood police said they asked agencies throughout the area to be on the lookout for it.

Three people called police about 2 p.m. Sunday to report that a man and woman were fighting inside a vehicle, police said. One of those who called provided a partial license plate number. Police said they were able to use that information to obtain the full license plate.

An ambulance took the woman to a hospital for treatment. Police said the man and woman know each other.

Police are still investigating and asked anyone who might have information to call 925-809-7792.
