CHICO — With temperatures closer to the mid-80s than triple digits early Friday afternoon, Jeremiah Crane spent part of his day off on the basketball court at Oak Way Park in west Chico.
Crane practiced jump shots, ball handling and dunks, accompanied by music from a Bluetooth speaker situated under the hoop.
Nearby, several families enjoyed the playground, friends played catch with a frisbee, and a golfer worked on his swing.
