CONCORD — A death investigation is currently underway on the 2900 block of Monument Boulevard in Concord, according to a news release from Concord Police.

It is unclear when this death happened and very little information was provided in the short release that was posted on the department’s Facebook site just before 5 p.m. on Saturday.

“The Concord Police Department is conducting a death investigation in the 2900 block of Monument Blvd,” the news release reads. “This is an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.”

Although this is an active investigation, the news release did say that the situation “is no threat to the community.”

The Bay Area News Group did reach out to Concord Police to try and gain more information but, as of 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, had yet to hear back.

Police are asking that anyone with information about this investigation to please contact Detective Riche at 925-603-5922.
