Investigation underway after man, woman and two children found dead inside San Mateo home

San Mateo police are investigating after four people — a man, a woman and two children — were found dead inside a home Monday morning.

Officers made the grisly discovery around 9:15 a.m. while checking on the wellbeing of people living in a home on the 4100 block of Alameda de las Pulgas, according to the San Mateo Police Department. The bodies inside showed “obvious signs” of death, police said.

Police did not release additional information but said the case appears to be “an isolated incident with no danger to the public.”
